The 27-year-old has been linked with a move back to the Premier League, with his loan at Bayern Munich set to come to an end this summer after the German champions chose not to take up the option to sign him permanently

And, according to Sport, Barca could be willing to drop their asking price to £55m if they can secure some defensive reinforcements as well, with Spurs one of the clubs sounded out.

He’s been tipped to leave the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer, and according to Argentinian newspaper Ole, a short-term deal with Leeds is close to going through.
