INTER LAC SWOOP
Inter Milan have reportedly identified Alexandre Lacazette as their No1 target should Lautaro Martinez leave for Barcelona.
The Arsenal forward fell out of favour under Mikel Arteta before football’s shutdown, as the coach surveyed his more youthful options.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Inter moved onto Lacazette as their back-up plan after deciding that Timo Werner of RB Leipzig and Paris Saint-Germain’s Edinson Cavani, whose contract expires soon, were too expensive.
The Serie A side recently sent a staunch message to Barcelona in their pursuit of Martinez, stating only his £100million release clause will be enough to force through a deal.
As the main target of a potentially very busy summer for the Catalans, they are expected to try and tempt a sale by offering a variety of player exchange deals.
WHY IS THIS HAPPENING?
Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has spoken out about racism following the shocking death of George Floyd.
Protests against the killing of the 46-year-old black man are widespread across the United States.
Henry, who now manages Montreal Impact in Canada, wrote: “Why is this still happening in 2020?
“Why do the same racists applaud any ethnic minority who plays for the team they support but abuse the same minorities on the street?
“Why are all the methods we are using to eradicate this from our society not working?
“It’s gone on for too long and we have come too far for this to be tolerated in modern society.”

MORNING ARSENAL FANS
Many Gunners fans have been unhappy with how the club has been run in recent years, with title challenges few and far between at the Emirates.
Former defender Martin Keown, however, believes that he has the perfect solution.
He told talkSPORT: “It would be something special to see Arsene Wenger come onto the board.
“I don’t think so somehow, I think he’s said recently he doesn’t want to do that, never saw himself as someone who would sit on the board but they could do a lot worse.
“You know that I feel that would be almost the perfect answer for Kroenke, the young Josh Kroenke, he needs that older person perhaps around, someone with the experience.
“Other people would think that it would be intimidating for [Mikel] Arteta – I don’t think so.
“If you’re a successful-type personality, you don’t really mind who else is in the building. You embrace that knowledge that could come in through the door.
“So I would applaud that if Arsenal Football Club were to bring Arsene Wenger onto the board.”
Meanwhile, the Gunners are believed to have offered contracts to David Luiz and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – although ESPN claim that Chelsea are still quietly optimistic that they can snatch the latter.
For now at least, fans can look forward to seeing Aubemeyang and Co soon, with the Premier League expected to announce the times for the remaining fixtures today with the big restart incoming.
